Compassionate Solutions for Financial and Educational Challenges

Initiative for Students (INS) is an educational, voluntary, and non-political organization established on October 24, 2023. Its primary goal is to support talented but disadvantaged students in Bangladesh and make their educational journey easier. INS seeks to empower students through Qard Hasanah (interest-free loans), scholarships, educational materials, strategic academic guidance, and mentorship, so that financial hardship or a lack of proper guidance never becomes a barrier to a student’s potential.

Background

We have observed that many talented students are unable to prepare fully for examinations because of financial hardship or a lack of necessary educational materials. For many others, arranging examination or registration fees on time can also be difficult. As a result, the challenge of meeting educational expenses can disrupt students’ education and stand in the way of their dreams.

The Initiative for Students Association was established to address these challenges and help students continue their educational journey without interruption. We provide comprehensive support, including Qard Hasanah (interest-free loans), so that students can move forward toward achieving their dreams.

Our Support

We provide various forms of financial assistance to students, particularly those facing temporary financial difficulties, such as:

To help address these challenges, we provide students with Qard Hasanah (interest-free loans) so that they can continue their education without disruption, In Sha Allah.

"Who is it that will give Allah a goodly loan, so He may multiply it for them many times over?"

— (Surah Al-Baqarah, 245)

"If you give Allah a goodly loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you."

— (Surah At-Taghabun, 17)

"Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve them of a hardship on the Day of Resurrection."

— (Sahih Muslim, 2699)

Vision

INS envisions a Bangladesh where no student’s academic journey is interrupted by financial hardship or a lack of guidance — a Bangladesh where merit, rather than financial means, determines a student’s future.

To achieve this vision, INS works toward the following objectives:

Fundraising

We raise funds from various sources to support and operate our activities:

INS operates on a "revolving fund" model — as soon as a student repays a loan, the funds can be directed to another student in need. As a result, each donation continues to create long-term impact even after supporting the first student.

Utilization of Funds

INS maintains full financial transparency. All transactions related to received donations and distributed funds are recorded and shared through a public financial report. Donors may also review these records directly if they wish.
