Compassionate Solutions for Financial and Educational Challenges

One of the founding and principal activities of Initiative for Students (INS) is Qard-e-Hasana (interest-free loan) — an initiative to support students facing financial difficulties.

Qard-e-Hasana — Interest-Free Loan

Thousands of university students face sudden financial difficulties. These difficulties may arise when money from home does not arrive on time, tuition or scholarship payments are delayed, or a source of income is temporarily disrupted. As a result, students may struggle to manage credit fees, semester fees, mess or hostel fees, other academic expenses, tours, academic materials, and similar costs on time. To help students cope with such financial difficulties, those who apply to INS’s "Qard-e-Hasana" programme may receive an interest-free loan of up to three months, subject to application review and assessment. In cases of long-term financial difficulty, INS may consider extending the repayment period and other relevant matters as necessary.
