Initiative for Students
Compassionate Solutions for Financial and Educational Challenges
Initiative for Students (INS) is an educational, voluntary, and non-political organization established on 24 October 2023 to support talented but underserved students in Bangladesh. Through Qarz-e-Hasana (interest-free loans), scholarships, educational resources, strategic academic guidance, and mentorship, INS aims to empower students so that financial hardship or a lack of proper guidance never becomes a barrier to realizing their potential.
Background
Many talented students in schools, colleges, and madrasas across Bangladesh have ambitious dreams but face significant practical barriers along the way. Financial hardship, a lack of structured guidance, and limited access to quality educational resources often stand between students and their goals. For some, even arranging examination or admission fees on time can be difficult. Without timely and appropriate support, many genuinely talented students are deprived of opportunities they deserve.
Students who make it to universities or medical colleges often face a different set of challenges. Family support may arrive late, scholarship payments are often delayed, and part-time income is rarely reliable. Meanwhile, semester fees, accommodation costs, examination fees, and educational necessities cannot wait. Although these short-term financial gaps may be relatively small, they can still be enough to disrupt the academic continuity and progress of even the most determined student.
It was in response to these realities that Initiative for Students was established on 24 October 2023. This non-political and voluntary organization stands beside students at some of the most important moments of their lives and works to address the financial and academic challenges that can hinder their journey, enabling deserving students to pursue excellence and a brighter future.
